Does it hurt your chances with elite VCs you may be targeting if you first have presented at a conference? Does it add value? Any specific recommendations?

The best deals are exclusive, they have not been “shopped” and turned down by others. Presenting at a conference confirms that there is no “aura of scarcity” of your deal and you had to resort to a public forum to get their attention. Conferences are attended by investors as information gathering tools to determine what else is out there, so they can be in a better bargaining position with those teams they really want to fund.

No. you just need a good Executive Summary, Wet their appetite. Have excellent returns nothing else really matters to capture their attention, later it’s your attitude, firmness and DESIRE that counts. You need to sound very sure, because you have examined all avenues..what is your default ratio? How many quarters to get a positive return, I finance companies over 150MM. I know what to look for… Good luck
