Because its alot of work. If you have someone doing all the work and you are collecting most of the pay for doing nothing except loaning out money, it makes more sense because you just sit on your *** and collect a check.

Because Venture capitalist will have to run the business themselves, which is impossible for them because they own some many other businesses, so it become hard to control. They depend on other people to run the business for them.
Another reason is that VC are not interested in running tiny small business that will give them small profits compare to the amount of money they have.
Another reason is VC might be signing a contract or patent’s rights before reading the business plan, so if they steal the idea they will get sued.
Another reason is STEALING IS BAD…;)

The golden rule is: Nobody takes care of a company like an owner.
Investors get better overall return if they concentrate on investing in, rather than running a company. An investor can invest is hundreds of companies while they could only effectively run a few.
Sure, they could hire employees to run the companies, but remember the golden rule.
